Privacy policy
This policy describes the data this website actually handles. It is written against the current implementation, not an aspirational feature list.
Data we store
- Newsletter signup. If you submit the signup form we store the email address you provide, the time you subscribed, an unsubscribe token, and an active/inactive flag. Subscriptions are not shared or sold.
- Optional analytics. When analytics is configured for a deployment, page views and research interactions are recorded through a first-party proxy with a session-scoped identifier. Event properties are limited to an allow-list such as ticker symbol, page path, strategy name, and chart title. Email addresses, free-text input, and full query strings are never sent.
- Server logs. The hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, path) for security and reliability.
Do Not Track and consent
Analytics calls are skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track. The newsletter form requires an explicit consent checkbox before an address is stored, and every signup can be undone through the unsubscribe page.
Cookies
The research site does not set advertising cookies. The analytics identifier is held in session storage and is scoped to your browsing session, which also means returning-visitor measurement is limited by design.
Third parties
Market and earnings data are retrieved from third-party licensed data services under our agreements with them; we do not name those vendors publicly. Research pages show what kind of observation you are looking at (licensed market data or a synthetic development fixture) and its timestamp. If you follow an external link (including a journal integration where configured), the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time, which deactivates the stored address rather than deleting the record immediately; the record is retained to honour future unsubscribe requests. To request deletion of a stored subscription record, contact the operator using the details on the contact page.
Changes
If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated before the change ships. This policy does not create a service relationship.
